There was a request on the Magic Cafe for methods of controlling a card 8th from bottom of the deck in the most direct fashion. There’s a control I came up with about a year and a half ago and have been using it quite successfully ever since. It’s called the Delayed Faro Control and allows one to place a card into any position in the pack with a single shuffle.

This video explains the control in detail and I genuinely hope some of you find the material to be of interest. If you don’t currently do faro work then maybe this will provide some additional motivation to start practicing.
